Attack of the Killer Tomatoes by Jeff Strand
It’s here! The Tomatopocalypse! The Rise of the Tomato!
Jeff Strand’s hilarious novelization of the 1977 cult classic has arrived in all of it’s Wide Release glory. Here is a smattering of early reactions:
“☆☆☆☆☆ At Last! A History Of The Great Tomato War!”
"I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much in a horror book."
"☆☆☆☆☆ for me. This book is 233 pages of pure fun."
“One Of The Most Hysterical Books Of 2023!! ☆☆☆☆☆”
"Never has a book been more stupid, never has a book been more FUNNY!
"Man is not the most brutal beast of them all… That dubious honor belongs to the tomato."
"Absolutely brilliant, 10/10, it gave me the desire to watch the movie again."
"This was a story unlike any other as not many stories have musical numbers or intermissions or giant killer robots."
"This has to be the silliest, most absurd book that I have read in a long, long time."
"☆☆☆☆☆ Don’t ask for ketchup!"
"One of the most hilarious books I’ve EVER read."
"This is, quite honestly, the funniest book I've read in the last year."
"Always entertaining, frequently hilarious, AoTKT is well worth your time."
"An absolute riot."
We’ve been gearing up for this release for a while, and it’s so fulfilling to finally have it out on eBook, print, and audiobook (narrated by the always amazing Joe Hempel, in which we believe is his crowning achievement.)
You can grab both print versions directly from us at BuyHorrorBooks.com.
You can grab the audiobook from Audible.
You can grab the eBook from any of these stores.
On Audiobook

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes by Jeff Strand, narrated by Joe Hempel: I know I just mentioned it above, but I want to make sure we highlight this because Joe Hempel did something extraordinary by making a hilarious book EVEN FUNNIER. I’ve read the book. And laughed a lot. When I listened to Joe’s narration, I belly laughed often. So much so, I couldn’t listen in my office cubicle at the day job because I’m positive my coworkers would think I’m having a mental breakdown. I’m not kidding when I say this will be submitted for prestigious awards.
Puppet Master Complete: A Franchise History by Nat Brehmer narrated by RJ Bayley: We adore nonfiction movie books. Nat Brehmer approached us a while back asking us to produce the audiobook for Puppet Master Complete, and it turned out fantastic. RJ Bayley is one of our favorite narrators to work with and he brings this nonfiction book to life with his narration. It’s a fun and charming listen.
Nothing to Devour (Motherless Children, Book 3) by Glen Hirshberg narrated by Xe Sands:
"Glen Hirshberg’s vampire trilogy is the vampire trilogy we all should have been paying attention to this past decade. Humane, frightening, beautifully written, it’s a monumental achievement that never ceases to be anything less than gripping.” - John Langan (author of House of Windows and The Fisherman)
Glen Hirshberg’s Motherless Children Trilogy is now complete and on audiobook. All three books narrated by the amazing Xe Sands. We didn’t produce the first audiobook, and it was done by one of the “Big Five” publishers a while back. I’m so happy Xe agreed to jump back into this world and complete the trilogy.
The Motherless Children Trilogy is as follows, with links to each audiobook:

NEW TO PRE-ORDER
The Final Gate (2nd Ed.) by Lucas Mangum and Wesley Southard
“As long as Mangum and Southard are around, Fulci’s spirit lives on.” - Judith Sonnet, author of Hell and No One Rides For Free.
While the eBook and audiobook versions are still available, we’ve pulled the print versions of Mangum and Southards brilliant homage to Lucio Fulci, The Final Gate, so we could do a slight refresh.
Frankie Madrigal provided the new artwork which is much more fitting for a book that is an unofficial entry into Lucio Fulci’s Gates of Hell Trilogy. We wanted a cover that would seem like a lost movie poster. Frankie pulled through in spades.

The Rain Ghost by Garry Kilworth
Who doesn’t love this cover?! We’ve been working with Garry on bringing his library into audiobook, and we had to ask him about The Rain Ghost. A classic Scholastic Point Horror book, it’s reputation grew solely based on the cover. Which is admittedly pretty hilarious, but still a great example of the style of art from the 80s and 90s we love. Add the cover to a popular meme regarding “ghost dick punching” and well…the rest is history.
So. Long story short. We HAD to license the original art. Scholastic was kind enough to do so (for a price of course) and we were ready to roll. The book was painstakingly scanned in it’s entirety and sent through our copy edit process. A few 30 year old typos were corrected and here we are with a brand new edition of The Rain Ghost for everyone to enjoy.
The cover may throw you off, but it is very much a well written, scary, and even heartwarming story. We love it and think it’s time for people to re-discover Garry Kilworth’s The Rain Ghost.
